I apologize if this was asked before. I looked but didn't see it.

I looked at the picture with Usagi's family and thought Kenji looked just like the PGSM supervisor, Tasaki Ryuuta. What do you think? Is it him? Did he also play the part of the bumbling, eccentric professor at Usagi's school? I think I also saw him in one of the episode as a passed out bystander in a hallway Minako ran through. If he was, I wonder why he played so many bit parts in the series.

Thank you Shingetsu & Genvid for the pics and if I did anything wrong with posting the pics, I also apologize.

It most definitely looks like him. :P And yes, it has been mentioned before. I wonder if his acting is good...?

Yeah, I think it's him. Some of us mentioned this before, but it was never a really big thing. He doesn't look like how I imagined Kenji-papa at all, but who knows how it'll be.

That's a weird picture. Ikuko is wearing a kimono, Kenji is wearing a suit and Shingo is wearing his school uniform? :| I think Ikuko and Kenji are the most normally dressed for a wedding...

Yeah, Shingo's outfit doesn't look right.

Shut up about Shingo. He's hot, so he can get away with it.

I wonder what made me think it's his school uniform? Must be the buttons.

Could this be a "culture gap" ?
School uniform is usually treated as a kind of formal wears for the students in Japan.
It's a major(acceptable) option at any ceremonies such as wedding. Actually, it's not unusual even when they attend a funeral.
Anything strange ?

Well in the US school uniforms are not as common as they are in Japan or as they are over here in the UK. But still in the UK you wouldn't attend a special occasion like a family members wedding in uniform - you'd wear something more special and less everyday.

The times you might wear your uniform is if you were going to a school mass (I used to go to a Catholic school, on days of obligation in primary school we would miss a morning lesson and go to Mass in the church next door)

You are right, HOWEVER, school kids like to wear their school uniforms for convinience... For example, my school is weird because uniforms are not mandatory. But, a lot of kids like to wear them anyways. I see a lot of guys wear the generic boys' uniforms, and sometimes, when I'm out with my girlfriends, they like to wear their own souped-up generic schoolgirl uniforms.

So, either way, Shingo has decided to wear his uniform out of school... No bit whoop.

It isn't him. Tasaki Ryuuta's face is a lot thinner than the other guy's. A lot younger, too.

Quote from front Page Genvid from Toei update 1/10/05 -

"The special act's climax- the wedding scene. Playing the part of Usagi's father, Kenji Tsukino, was director Tasaki. Director Maihara nominated him. Director Takamaru, Suzumura, and scenario writer Kobayashi all played extras. "

Yeah! I *knew* it was him! :)
