I thought I'd started a thread for them but I can't find it! :?

Anyone else a fan!? I love their new Japanese MV for Mr. Taxi. It's such a catchy song, I've had it in my head for like 5 days. :keke: Even though I like the song a lot, it's pretty heavily autotuned in parts which I don't totally dig. Still soooooo catchy though and I'm getting used to it!

For those who have never heard of them, they are a Korean pop group of 9 girls. Most of their songs are in Korean but they've done some in Japanese and a few English covers on their live album. Some of their popular Korean songs are Gee, Oh!, Genie, Hoot, and Run Devil Run.

Love the fact it doesn't sound so different.

Just to say that "Girls Generation" isn't an accurate translation of "SNSD" - "Girls Era" would be a better one, tho they might've deliberately opted for "Generation" for a reason. :)

I'm assuming they selected the translation themselves for a reason, even if it's not 100% accurate. Personally I think Girls Generation sounds a lot better than Girls Era would. :dead:

Oh, sure (& an even worse one would be "Girls Period" XD ), tho it sounds fine in the original language. :)

I just started listening to Girls Generation after I saw a link to the Mr. Taxi MV on twitter and I've been in love with them! I've been playing a playlist of their videos on youtube all week.

That's why it's also got three subgroups (the largest one of which has nine members, too l o l ) - scroll to the bottom of the page I linked in my last post above, to see them. :)

Where the hell I have been? I'm so outdated in the Kpop scene.

Nice MV :) - how could those similar J-pop groups compete w/ them? :ninja:
