All 5 seasons of the anime and I enjoyed it overall. I didn't have cable growing up so all I got were bits and pieces when the dub aired on Toonami. Even then though I was way more interested in DBZ and didn't give SM a second look until much later. I heard about all the cuts and censoring they did with the dub so I decided to watch the original subbed instead.

•Which Sailor Senshi or other character you are most like?

According to quizzes I've taken I'm most like Chibiusa, but personally I think Ami's a better fit. Like her I'm book smart and a bit on the quiet side. (Not to mention I play chess as well)

•If you are a guy, why do you like Sailor Moon? (I’d really love to hear your answers for this one! No guys I know like Sailor Moon, and it makes me a little sad.)

Aside from its cultural significance and worldwide popularity, it's nice to see an all-female group beat up foes for a change. The best parts for me are when the plot actually develops and of course, the battles with the main villains (MOTDs and the stock footage do get old after a while I'll admit). All the senshi have unique personalities so it's hard not to find a relation in at least one aspect, and I like how the story takes risks at times while still delivering a good blend of action, comedy, and romance. Overall it's a great series that I believe all anime fans, male or female, should watch and be familiar with.

•Manga or Anime??

Anime. I've read all of Tokyopop's translation and liked the fast-paced nature, but it just isn't the same without the sounds and animation. (I'm not that much of a comic person, tbh)

•Favorite Sailor Senshi and why?

Jupiter. Her favorite color is green like mine, lightning/electricity is my favorite RPG element (2nd favorite being nature-based powers), and I really like her strong independent personality.

•Have you seen the original Japanese version? Did you like it? As much as I love the dubbed version, I have seen the Japanese version at times, but watching it like that sort of makes it akward, because the voices are all too high-pitched, and I almost blew my eardrum out one time watching it subtitled. Plus, when you watch it subbed, the only thing sub fans/purists pay attention to are the subtitles to see what the characters are saying, and I think that sort of compromises the integrity of anime, because watching anime isn't just about paying attention to the subs, it's about appreciating the overall art, whether you like dubs or not.

•Which Sailor Senshi or other character you are most like? Without a doubt, I'd have to say Serena, because she sort-of reminded me of myself from when I was a kid... Back then, I used to cry a lot, and I didn't like going to school, and I also had a few bad tests as well...

•If you are a guy, why do you like Sailor Moon? ...Because...well, it's probably the same reason as above: it reminded me of myself...

•Manga or Anime?? Anime. Even though I recently started reading the manga, I'm not very used to the manga storyline yet. But I'm sure I will understand it in time.

•Favorite Sailor Senshi and why? Again, I would have to say Serena Tsukino/Sailor Moon. She also sort of encouraged me to never give up when I first saw episode 200 two years ago, and I treasure that dearly. And although Sailor Stars was never dubbed, I could just imagine Terri Hawkes doing the voice brilliantly...

•And for the last one, make up the craziest/silliest/coolest name of a Senshi you can come up with! Maybe, I would have to say...Sailor Mitsubishi! (named after the car brand Mitsubishi)

Yes. And yes. I've seen every special (Yes I even watched the Xmas with the VAs singing on stage), all 200 episodes, and all the movies. Subbed.

There is no one senshi I'm like. I'm smart like Ami, but I dislike studying, like Usagi. I'm a good cook, like Makoto. I'm a bit of loner like Setsuna or Hotaru. I'm also a bit like a couple others too.

It was one of my first animes :3

wow just wow....I love your answers!!! I'm soo happy your a Terri Hawkes fan!!! She would do it brilliantly!!! I'm soo glad I'm not alone with the voices in the sub especially Serena's! but people say things about Terri and you know what? That's ok it's their opinion and I don't like the japanese voice but some might and that's their opinion. That's true all you do is read the subtitles and not see the actually artwork good point! •Have you seen the original Japanese version? Did you like it?

Absolutely, and it was fantastic! The stock footage gets really, really annoying after the first 50 episodes or so, but overall the series is just too enjoyable to put down. I ran a Sailor Moon marathon and drilled through every episode one after another. The whole process, taking into account that I wanted to have a life too, took about two months. My favorites were S and Stars, though R was quite enjoyable as well. My least favorite was Super S, but you can't win them all.

•Which Sailor Senshi or other character you are most like?

Interesting question. I'm the quiet type, and I mostly keep to a very select circle of friends. So in that regard I empathize with Sailor Saturn. But I also have a tomboyish side that I often worry about, filling me with concern that I'm not nearly as feminine as I ought to be. So in that regard I empathize with Sailor Jupiter and Sailor Uranus. Then take into account that I have a strong spiritual side, and I empathize with Sailor Mars. I'm intelligent (not to brag) and nerdy (not to self-depreciate), so I empathize with Sailor Mercury too. I'm athletic, so there's Venus and Uranus. I have a serious sense of duty, so I suppose that puts me in line with Sailor Pluto. I enjoy some of the more artistic, fancy things in life from time to time and try to present myself as dignified if I can, so there's Neptune. And finally, I have a bit of that naive idealism from childhood left in me, so there's Sailor Moon.

So...I'm a little bit like all of them and exactly like none of them?

I love them all, but I suppose my number one (if I had to choose one) would probably be Hotaru. As for why, I like her good manners, her respectable presentation, and I empathize with her pretty well. But just bear in mind that my number one fluctuates depending on what day it is.

Have you seen the original Japanese version? Did you like it?

Yes, all five seasons, the movies, and specials. I love the original; the dub just doesn't compare. I do enjoy watching clips from the dub every now and then, since that's how I was introduced to the series, but I can't take it seriously because of the voices and embarrassing dialogue. It has nostalgic value.


Which Sailor Senshi or other character you are most like?

I see myself as a combination of Usagi and Hotaru. I'm sensitive, naive, and clumsy like Usagi, and my eating and sleeping behaviors are similar to hers. I'm childlike, too -- I'm a kid on the inside! I have a calm, shy demeanor in common with Hotaru, as well as depressive tendencies and a desire to feel a sense of belonging.

Manga or Anime?

I like the manga, but prefer the anime because that's how my Sailor Moon obsession was fueled. I'm a big fan of Naoko's artwork, though, and wish that some of the details and storyline from the manga had been incorporated into the anime.


Favorite Sailor Senshi and why?

Sailor Moon is my numero uno. There are parts of her I can really relate to, and others that I admire and would like to have more of in myself (e.g., optimism, kindness, self-sacrifice). My favorite inner (sans Moon) and outer senshi are Jupiter and Uranus.
