I'm sure since this is an international Sailor Moon Community, there must be French fans around here.

Well for those who don't know, here is the original TV opening when it first aired in France.

Now here is the opening as sung by Bernard Minet. FYI Bernard Minet is big singer in France who is beloved in the country for his interpretations of mega hits children shows such as Saint Seiya (known as Les Chevaliers du Zodiaque in France), Sailor Moon,Dragon Ball,and other anime and Sentai shows.

Whatcha think? I ****ING Bernard Minet's song including this(and I'm not a true Moonie yet). Not only are they so freaking catchy but Bernard Minet's performance bring a sense of gayness(happy) and hilarity that other dub openings can't bring. I first discovered Bernard Minet when I was, out of sheer curiosity, was wondering how the French opening of Saint Seiya was like and I happened to stumble across a hilarious video on Youtube(for another thread this topic is).

I am not French, but I followed Bernard Minet because he sang themes of the shows I also grew up with (Saint Seiya, Sailor Moon etc)

The songs are not stellar, but they are what you said: extremely catchy L O L

I found myself looping the Chevaliers du Zodiaque theme on more than one occasion He is a good singer.

I REALLY fucking love his interpretation of the Les Chevaliers du Zodiaque opening! He is REALLY GAY and hilarious!

Ahaha... I had a tape of some French Sailor Moon episodes from a source in Canada, which were aired on Quebec TV. My older sister translated the song.

For trivia's sake, there is a reason behind him singing the openings.

Back in the early 90s, there was a children's variety show in France called "Club Dorothee". Bernard Minet was a part of the cast. Saint Seiya, Sailor Moon, "Nicky Larson" (City Hunters), Ranma and several other anime were part of this variety block. (complete listing is here http://fr.wikipedia.org/wiki/Club_Doroth%C3%A9e )

The themes were made to be simple but catchy, with corny lyrics to appeal to kids

Saint Seiya's is roughly:
The guardians of the universe, go to defeat evil!
