In light of Adult Swim airing Toonami as an april fool's joke, Sailor Moon has finally trended on twitter.

Enjoy.

*rises from the dead*

It's likely because of Toonami's one night revive on Adult Swim. Since Sailor Moon was a big part of Toonami it seems fitting enough.

A bit off-topic but Tenchi Muyo OVA 3?

That never aired on Toonami so how did AS get it?

Just old Toonami shows. Airing shows like Bleach, FLCL, and Durarara is their usual line-up.

Sorta yes. As far as AS jokes go though, this one's kinda nice.

Absolutely no way Sailor Moon will show up, though. As much as I'm sure they'd like to.

I hope this April Fool's joke inspires a widespread campaign for the permanent return of Toonami

So out of all that has aired tonight in the April Fool's block, three of them are not Toonami shows.

-Trigun (Adult Swim)
-1960s Astro Boy (Adult Swim)
-Tenchi Muyo OVA 3 (Never aired on TV)

The odd thing is that for Tenchi, the commercial advertising it showed footage from the original OVAs that did air on Toonami.

Edit: Now they're airing Gigantor (Adult Swim) so that makes four.

Steve Blum (Voice of Tom, and a shitton of other stuff) wrote this on his facebook:

So go contact Cartoon network using this form: http://www.cartoonnetwork.com/feedback/ and let them know your feels, guys. If this works, maybe there will be a place for Sailor Moon on TV again.

They probably got a HUGE ratings spike last night, given the hype that generated on the internet. They definitely got a message about what people want.

Doesn't hurt to keep informing, though.

The commercial for the Tenchi box almost made up for OVA3 airing instead of a Pioneer dub episode. "He has 99 problems and these bitches are all of them." Nearly spit out my water. XD

Yeah, I missed out on the Toonami re-airing last night...

But, this is pretty decent proof that CN could bring Toonami back if they wanted to. If it isn't, then I don't know what is.

Good news all around! Dayumn Tenchi Muyo Ryo-Ohki! It may be confusing, but I can put up with that. What I can't take is Mona Marshall as Ryoko! SHe should stick to boys. I would totally buy it again if Petrea Burchard would redub it!

(Though I prefer Ryoko in the other series more, she doesn't get bullied by Washu so much.)

Technically, Toonami was more of an early 2000s thing... It was only starting to come into it's own around '98 or '99.

Da'mn. Some weird stuff trends on Twitter. I don't even know what the hell all that Spanish crap is. AND HOW THE HELL IS RANMA 1/2 TRENDING ON TWITTER?! It's not like that series has ever been THAT popular or is going through any kind of a revival. It's kind of a random time for it to be happening since literally nothing is going on with the franchise, and it's pretty much been dormant for over a decade with the exception of the 2008 OVA.

Gah, I hate to say I missed the Toonami joke as well. Business can lead to disappointment at times. For one night I could have seen DBZ the way it was broadcast here years ago, like I never felt like doing so at the time, but no. Oh, well, I have Mario Castañeda and Laura Torres.
