XD that would be so exciting. I would love to have all orignals back. Especially digimon which does have officials but they are hard to grab. and some are hard to find.

On Monday we reported Shout! Factory’s acquisition deal with Saban for the rights of over 700+ episodes of Power Rangers, as well as other related shows, to be released on DVD. However, now we know more.

The deal for the mountain of shows is limited to the 1993-2009 run of the show, which excludes the very negative received 2010 re-edited version of the original Mighty Morphing Power Rangers and also currently airing Samurai/Super Samurai seasons, the license of the DVDs of these are unknown at this time. The rights also only extend to North America region, America and Canada, and Masked Rider was not included even though Saban does still own the rights to the show.

I would love interviews with Amy Jo Johnson, Austin St. John, David Yost, and perhaps some mini-documentaries. A memorial tribute to Thuy Trang (the original Yellow Ranger) would be nice as well.

And none for Walter Emanuel Jones?

That would probably be a bad idea seeing as how [David Yost] claimed in past interviews to have been treated miserably for being gay which led to his exit from the show.

If they're going to do any tributes then they should be for all of them.

The name "Super Sentai" was introduced in the 1979 series Battle Fever J. Originally, Gorenger and its successor JAKQ were not included as Super Sentai series. In episode 0 of the 1989 series Turboranger, when it honored the past ten Super Sentai series, Battle Fever J was listed as the first Sentai. It was not until the 1995 series Ohranger that Gorenger and JAKQ were included as the original first two series.

It should be noted that even if Gorenger and JAKQ were not labelled as Super Sentai during the time that term was introduced in Sun Vulcan's run in 1981, AkaRanger and Spade Ace were part of an official Red Warrior picture.

Although Choujuu Sentai Liveman was officially treated as the tenth Super Sentai show at the time, there was a VHS released at the time of Choushinsei Flashman that had all of the Super Sentai openings, including Gorenger's and JAKQ's. Also, during Gosei Sentai Dairanger in 1993, the term "Cho Seiki Zen Sentai" (Super Century All Sentai) was coined as an umbrella term for both, Super Sentai and the Ishinomori shows. It was later dropped in Mirai Sentai Timeranger's run back in 2000 and declared Gorenger and JAKQ as part of the Super Sentai franchise.

From what I understand, the only official Digimon DVDs in the US are the first 13 episodes of Season 1 and the movie. Everything else is a bootleg (Digimon is one of the most popular shows with bootleggers). However, there are official season sets of the series being released in Australia, giving me hope that the US may get a new release sooner or later...

Wait, lemme see if I got this straight.

In July, they're releasing seasons ONE THROUGH SEVEN (as in, all of MMPR [including MMAR] through PRLG). In one set. Okay. Wow.

But then why bother releasing MMPR season 1 volumes 1 and 2?

Overall, this is very exiting! Will the "Volume" sets have the extras too?
