I feel they could get along well based on their personalities. Mami would feel more like a magical girl from the shows she watched. Oh, and with the power of his speeches and roses, despair would never be an issue. He would be the moral support when she just wants to sit in her apartment and cry. Just imagine it....

Honestly though I am not sure. If Wicked Lady had not been his daughter I would say Dark endymion with Wicked Lady.

They would play well off of each other - Michiru is both elegant, but playful. I like the idea of that personality bouncing off Mamoru's more serious side. I also imagine a guy in a tux would make a nice contrast with a combat violinist. It got toyed with a little in the manga, but only as part of an arc with Haruka and Usagi.

I love Haruka and Michiru of course, but if I can pair Mamoru with ANYONE, then no one is safe!

I'd say Setsuna, because of all the manga and musical hints. Besides, I think they'd have a lot to talk about and relate to each other since they're both mature.

I'd like a Mamoru/Setsuna pairing, if anything, we'd see more of Pluto when she's not "guarding" the time gate.

Most of the time age has nothing to do with love; but I find it important to have the same maturity level and common interests and beliefs to be together. That is why I totally *facepalm* in the episode where Usagi goes inside Mamoru's apartment and it's playing classical music with his genetic engineering textbook on the table.
Mamoru is so mature in everyway and Usagi is like a 10 year old kid.
Mamoru should pair with Setsuna or Ami.
And Usagi should pair with Seiya because they seem like they are perfect for each other in the anime.

That is why Usagi x Mamoru is a miracle romance. It would never work in real life unless the guy has a thing for childish and immature girls.

Except for the fact Usagi didn't like Seiya's advances on her and he continued to do it even after she's told him a billion times she didn't like him like that. No means no, boys! I don't blame Seiya though! It's not her fault she was the transgendered product of sexist, male anime directors!

Haha.. yea I always thought she rejected his/her advances because she is so "in love with mamo-chan"... though I could never take her "rejections" that seriously... she's blushed around Seiya a handful of times, if I remembered correctly. I guess I feel bad for Seiya, that's why I sorta want them together.

But yea the whole he/she business is sad T_T;; Though I honestly don't think about Usagi at all... I am not too fond of her. She's friendly and believes the best in everyone but I find her too gullible and immature, hence SM is for kids.

When guys I do not like try to hit on me, or tease me, I generally blush because of the embarrassment. I've dealt with it throughout high school. Even if she wasn't with Mamoru, I still wouldn't want Usagi to be with a guy who only cares about his own infatuation, and not how Usagi feels. I think if he cared at all, he would stop pursuing her. He knows she has a boyfriend whom she's clearly in love with yet he continues to pressure her anyway and the whole situation is just awkward and uncomfortable. That doesn't sound like a man who respects her.

Then there is the issue of Seiya only being attracted to her because she reminds him of Kakyuu.

Setsuna would pair best with Mamoru. This is taking into account all the hints from all the continuities such as pairing up in a few scenes in the anime and the hint of her love in the manga.

Maturity levels are not keys to successful relationships. As for Mamoru he should not be paired with Setsuna or Ami because he needs someone to bring out his wild and adventurous side to balance him oput.

As for Usagi and Seiya they are hardly perfect for each other. Seiya is to flighty and unreliable for Usagi and the main reason he likes Usagi is because she reminds him of Princess Kakyuu.

Usagi and Mamoru work because they compliment each other well. Mamoru brings out Usagi's mature and dedicated side and Usagi brings out Mamoru's fun and kid like side.

She blushes around alot of characters even Haruka that dosen't mean she wants to be with them. She is in love with Mamoru, she has no romantic feelings for Seiya.

True, well in that case, I don't know who Usagi should pair off with... But I think Mamoru x Usagi is wrong.

Mamoru with Fiore, or with Wizeman

Yes in fact EnchantedViolin Usagi brightens Mamoru's life and shows him to have fun and cut loose. Usagi and Mamoru are right for each other, they certainly think so, they are great together and even Naoko Takeuchi thinks so.

I think it would be cute (and different) to see him with Makato! Also, Rei and Ami would be good choices too.
And for what it's worth, I think Usagi is adorable with a wonderful personality and that she's great with Mamoru.

I never like Usagi and Mamoru's relationship in the anime(just the anime. They're my OTP in the manga) so I already pair Mamoru with other people anyway. I always felt there was more chemistry between him and Setsuna in the few interactions they had than the entire series with Usagi. Setsuna seems like the type of woman Mamoru really wants and I always got the impression he only tolerated Usagi because of their destined future. I even remember a fan theory back in the day of Sestuna being Chibusa's mother because of their red eyes and the fact that Setsuna seemed to be more of a mother to Chibiusa than Neo Queen Serenity.

I know some people will say that Usagi and Mamoru are "opposites attract" and I'm a fan of it myself, but there are times where people can be too different from each other. I never saw Usagi bring out a different side in Mamoru and vice versa. In fact, Mamoru seems down right bored with Usagi while Usagi is horribly insecure about their relationship(I know that there's some natural insecurities in relationships, but Usagi is so afraid Mamoru will leave her for someone "better" that she becomes insanely jealous and clingy when he just looks at another woman outside of the other senshi. That's usually the sign of a bad relationship).

I'm also not a denying that Mamoru doesn't care for Usagi(he's shown that too many times to count). I just don't think that he's in love with her and feels obligated to her. I'm also not a Mamoru hater. He's not my favorite since he since he never became more than a token boyfriend(I prefer him way more in the manga where he actually has a personality), but I do like him.

Mamoru does love Usagi in the anime he has shown that he loves her and this is a canon fact. Also he never had as much chemistry with Setsuna in the anime as he did with Usagi. He shows so much. Also Setsuna is not the type of woman Mamoru really wants, Mamoru needs someone more fun and adventurous to keep him interested. Also he does not put up with her because of their destined relationship. This is bogus as they were growing closer even in the animated continuity to each other without their memories. For instance, in the anime, when Mamoru/Darien throws the rose at Beryl's heart and she begins to die, she says to Mamoru, "Your love for Sailor Moon is killing me." He then lays on Usagi's lap dying and looks at her face and tells her "Sorry I made you wait Tsukino Usagi with the odango atama." He doesn't call her Serenity here. It is Usagi he is speaking to. The biggest proof comes when Mamoru doesn't even remember ANYTHING about loving Usagi and yet comes to care for her SOO much in the Doom Tree series. Together they go from taking care of a baby, to Mamoru holding onto Usagi's hand as they play at the lazer arcade, to Mamoru reaching out to save Usagi from the Doom Tree, wanting so badly to protect her. That is him caring for USAGI. Not Serenity.

Also I saw many times in the anime at how Usagi brought out Mamoru's fun and carefree side and Mamoru brought out Usagi's dedicated and responsible side. Such episodes like the babysitting episode come to mind. Also he never seems bored with Usagi but in fact is always entertained by her.
Also, in Sailor Moon R , at the beginning when they are finally together, the couple is out on the lake and when they go up on the dock, Usagi trips and Mamoru laughs and hugs her saying, "You're such a klutz....but your *MY* klutz" and they kiss deeply. They are not too different and have many things in common and get along very well.

As for Usagi's jealousy she would be jealous and clingy no matter who she is in a relationship with. She even shows jealousy about her family and friends giving her attention. Usagi desperatly needs attention it is just who she is.

Also again you would be wrong, the canon as well as the whole anime shows that Mamoru loves Usagi and is not obligated to her. That is simply an infactual lie. He does not stay with her because he feels obligated to her, he genuinely loves her. If he didn't then he wouldn't fight so hard to protect her and would just be her friend. His spirit in R would not have formed the Moonlight Knight just to protect Usagi. Also even in the beginning of the anime when they were having those playful fights they were teasing each other because they secretly liked one another and anime material shows they did have feelings for each other even then. So yes Mamoru loves Usagi, anything else is uncanon.

i would have to say lita/makoto because she's very bright, loving, strong-hearted, and classy. i really wish a girl like that existed in my life but she's just a dream girl to me. i think darien/mamoru would be a good pair up because it would help lita/mako through her depression and to get over her ex she always keeps bringing up and she has the most "talent" if you all catch my drift .

I can't argue your points MariaTenebre, but I'm still firm in my opinion. I know that I'm technically wrong in disliking the canon couple, but no matter how many times I rewatch the series; I still get a "forced" vibe from Usagi/Mamoru. Let's agree to disagree. I know from experience that debating about your favorite couple just ends up going in one big circle; it's all about preference and interpretation, making it too subjective to be argued.

That forced vibe is from the producers. On purpose, apparently.

That is fine and all I am just letting you know that it is canon in all of the series that Mamoru loves Usagi and he certainly isn't forced to be with her. I mean heck in the Silver Millenium they were not even supposed to be together. I am arguing on a canon basis not your opinions. It is fine if you don't particularly care for Usagi and Mamoru as a couple but just get your canon right.

I still never got this whole forced vibe thing in the anime. In the anime just like in every continuity Usagi and Mamoru love each other a great deal and were never forced to be together. Now while their romance was not executed as well as in other continuities (which really in the anime it seemed that they were more concerned with action then romance) they still loved each other and had many romantic moments.

I liked his friendship with Fiore rgveda. I thought it was very neat and expanded upon Mamoru's character and past history.

I liked it too and it does make an excellent story and the best movie out of the 3.
