Have you seen the original Japanese version? Did you like it?

Yes, I have watched the seasons, movies ans specials. One definite good point was no edits/cuts. How could you go wrong with no edits? There are some scenes and characters I liked in the original, but there are also some I don't. Same with the voices. Some will annoy me, but there are voices I could listen to all day and night if possible (Maria Kawamura's Eugeal and the late Kaneto Shiozawa's Prince Diamond are two great examples). After finishing the original, I thought it was great. As with the English dub, I think it does a brilliant job despite some of the silly edits/changes and slang. The voice actors/actresses from DiC and Cloverway have all done a great job even though some of them aren't as good as they could have been. I'm surprised that there are some voices I prefer to the original (Stephanie Beard's Rini and Kirsten Bishop's Zoycite. This IS my opinion by the way). But overall, I love both the Original and the Dub for different (and sometimes the same) reasons.

Which Sailor Senshi or other character you are most like?

Oh, this a tough one. I share the same interest in cooking as Lita. I love technology and computers like Eugeal. And I also like to think Im as laidback/relaxed as Artemis a.k.a. Silly comedy cat.

I'm a guy, so I'll be happy to answer. There are many reasons as to why I love Sailor Moon. First of all, we have a kickass team of female Sailor Soldiers who will be ready to beat some bad guy butt, even if the guys put them into wild and compromsing positions. Sailor Moon also has depth when it comes to things like Romance, Sacrifice and Friendship. Another reason is that SM has the sexiest villainesses (this applies to the Phantom Sisters, Witches 5 and Kaori). The last reason is that the MOTDS are no doubt interesting. Some are cute, some are tough, some are bizarre and there are some who are just flat out hilarious.

Manga or Anime??

Geez, I think both have their positves and negatives. The anime added more story and depth to several of the villains (Dark Kingdom, Black Moon Clan and the Death Busters). But at the same time, the anime version of the Stars Season made the least sense. In the manga, it was more clear and understanding. Not to mention Naoko Takeuchi does some beautiful drawings/artwork. I'll probably side a little over to the anime only because it had more development with the villains.

Favorite Sailor Senshi and why?

I like Rini/Mini-Moon and Hotaru/Saturn the most. I think they are so cute yet they are also powerful scouts. Not to mention they are both best friends. They are so cute when they are together.

It's much harder for me to pick a favorite villain - I have several favorites rather than just one. Blue Saphir is a favorite because I appreciate his calm, rational, and perceptive nature. His dedication to his brother is also endearing. From the Black Moon clan, I am also fond of Berthier for her intelligence, personality, and water-related powers. I think Galaxia is one of the most interesting villains. Sailor Mnemosyne is one of my favorite minor characters but she seems too kind to really be considered a villain. Finally, I am a fan of both Black Lady and Mistress 9 - mostly from an aesthetic standpoint for Mistress 9, since she only appears briefly and isn't particularly interesting as a character.

Yes. I've never watched the dub except for when I was fairly young. When I came back to SM I started with the Japanese version and haven't looked back.

I like it because it has awesome plots, and diverse characters. I also like the stress on the value of friendship.

Haha YES!! I meant all the way Uranus!!! Silly me! I love Black Lady!! Also the clothes Galaxia wears are extremely incredible for it's so elegant but yet evil at the same time because of the gold aspect. My favorite besides the Black Moon Clan, is Queen Beryl!! She's just a classic!! Most of the series yeah she sits on her ass and does nothing but the last battle and especially since it's Sailor Moon's fist epic battle ALONE it's such an intense/Powerful scene and fight! Overall every villian in Sailor Moon has their wonderful personal and unique stories

Yes I do get your point I somewhat hope they do. I want Terri Hawkes to play Sailor Moon. I would also love for most of the Dic cast to return but Dic running it? NOOOOOO!!! I want Serena to be allowed to say Hell, Shit, Ass and F**k without cuts or what not. Just make the Dic cast show off the talent we all know they really have!!!

Yes! You have a soft spot for the dub! I agree with you a 100% about the straining part of the dub and I hate Dic for it!! Now the voices I LOVE them for especially Terri Hawkes!! You say Amy is not that confident but she is quite strong in the long run and I'm sure you are too Rini or Mini Moon is quite cute! I love the way you answered the first question! You couldn't have said it better. I can't stand the most Serena's Japanese voice and me personally it just doesn't fit her. It sounds to me like a 10 yr old in a 14 yr olds body but people of course said opposite about Terri Hawkes and it's cool it's there opinion. For me Terri fits her quite well and you know what she could in a sense sound like a valley girl as everyone says she does but I hear really little if I do catch it for in reality she's not Japanese. She's really is a Moonie. She was born on the Moon!! It just so happened after the poor moon go destroyed that they landed on earth in Japan and btw you and me none of them look japanese nor does in truth any Anime character for it's said that the Japanese picked up on the art style of Disney so most disney character are more so American. I like that you at least you understand that the dub is what made most of Moonies know who Sailor Moon was and always will be (ok now I'm getting to mushy) Oh yeah the sub with dialogue and it being full and not cut is not doubt better quality but I'm just not so crazy with the voices sadly. Sailor Moon was there for me in a very difficult time in my life, and continues to be there for me. It never fails to make me laugh or otherwise enthrall me. I love the cast and their interactions, I love the comedy, I love the comradeary.. I don't know, it's just my obsession.

Seen maybe half the manga, but all of the anime many times over. Preordered the manga and eagerly await every issue's arrival. Love them both. Love PGSM too.

Yeah, back when USA still showed cartoons. I actually got into SM through the manga, though. Back in high school, a friend of mine had the Mixxzine books that had SM bundled with 3 or 4 other manga series, and she let me read them. She'd told me about the anime back when I first started reading, but at that point, it was airing at like 7:30am on Sundays and I don't get up that early, so it was months before I actually caught it.


I have a friend(not the one who got me into SM) who's basically my own real-life Usagi except she looks more like Michiru.

I want a redub too!!! I'm the most like Serena too!!! A lot of people like the Anime more for it's character background. I love Zoisite! He's (well I'm not gonna lie but because of the dub they made her a girl and it should of in my opinion stayed that way.) beautiful! But I have nothing against the gay community for I like a lot better Uranus and Neptune's relationship and Fisheye is wonderfully fashioned!!! Haha I liked that you named a Sailor after your town! I'm currently watching the Japanese version as we speak and yes, I find it to be vastly superior to the English dubbed version. Everyone is allowed to have their own preferences, so I'm not gonna bark at anyone who has different views.

I like Sailor Moon because of the story and more importantly the characters. They are all so wonderful in their own right and the tokusatsu nature of the show makes it easy to forget that it's mostly aimed at girls. Also, Sailor Moon was my first introduction to Japanese media, along side with Godzilla too.

Ami/Sailor Mercury because not only is she the smart one of the group, but I greatly admire her kind and gentle nature which makes her an incredibly value member of the Sailor Senshi. Those are the reason why I love her.

Manga because it's more fast paced, but I also like the anime because it really develops the plotline, and you get to know the senshi better not just Sailor Moon.

Sailor Jupiter because she's tough, kind hearted, down to earth, and a little misunderstood. She's also a good cook! These are my top five though.

That is amazing that you are all the way from England! I love they way you answered question 2. Yes, Yes, YES!!! I am soo glad that you see both positive and negatives with the Sub and Dub. For one of course, I loved the the original ending of it being uncut/unedited. I hate that Dic with the last episode cuts that whole Darien kicking Serean's ass part. It what made the scene DUH! Ok now voices. I without a Doubt HATE Serena's Japanese voice with a passion and you know what people don't like Terri's voice with a passion but I love it with all my heart I just can't stand that pitch and honestly it doesn't fit her. She sounds 10 not 14 to me and I know they made most of the girls voice sound cute but not in my opinion. I'm sure most of the guy's like Darien I've heard his and it's pretty good and Diamonds I'm sure is gold (But I like his Dub voice too). Hey everyone has their own opinion about everything and that's what makes us at different and it's not a bad thing. In all honesty I have never completed any seasons of the sub so I have only watched the last two episodes of season one in sub without sound (it was cool actually I had the Dic cast in my head and Dic music but with better dialogue!) Do you like Terri Hawkes? Overall I respect the Sub Completey!!! but love the Dub. Yeah I've heard of Starz being the most confusing for they're was too much going on at once. Everyone so far has also been saying that the characters especially the villain has soo much more depth in the Anime then in the Mangas. The Anime for me for it's what introduced me to Sailor Moon. I'm starting to read the Mangas and I really like it. Her Art is Magnificent!! I love it! But she also draws for the show and it's quite beautiful too! I love Artemis!! He's funny. Lita is like me too for I also like to cook. You mean Melvin? I love him! He's too much The Scouts are really kick ass girls! even though Serena sometimes is a Crybaby The Storyline is quite depth with romance, friendship and just plain old relationships. Haha like your Sailor Name. Yeah most people watched the dub when they were young. I actually watched it when I was 18 and just loved the dub form the start. It def. has faults but what show doesn't? Even sometimes the Sub version I'm sure has it's faults. I love Terri Hawkes and don't care for Serena's Japanese voice for I feel it doesn't fit ( my opinion). I'm the most like Serena The Plots are amazing. The characters have wonderful stories and the friendship point of the show is quite beautiful. I really like the story line in the Manga and Anime. Oh my goodness your really don't like the English Dub! I don't hate the sub it's more that I don't care for it for it's voice acting and I know people feel this way with the dub but not me. I have much respect for the sub for it's the original Sailor Moon before it was even dubbed. But that's funny the way you compared it to Amy getting a "B". I wouldn't go that far haha. You aint kidding when you say the US use too show cartoons! They show crap now. I miss the old Nick like: Hey Arnold, Rugrats, Doug, Ahh real Monster, As told by Ginger, Animaniacs!! ( I love them! Especially Yakko )etc. The only cartoon I like from today is Kick Buttowski. It's really funny and cute! The Manga got much people into Sailor Moon. Haha I'm not an early bird neither. I believe all of us at one point in our lives feel like outcast and this is why a lot people can connect with her soo well. Rini and her do have a very cute friendship.
