I have seen clips of the Original Japanese and watched some episode of the subbed Sailor Moon but I don't like it or I can't get attached to it Her Japanese voice is too high pitched for me and gets me annoyed! I love the Dub even though it's the cut version but in my heart Terri Hawkes is truly to me Sailor Moon!!! P.S. - I really don't care for the Japanese names and actually love the American names like Serena!! I'm going to name my first daughter this someday not because of the show (Ok yes a little!!) but because it is quite a beautiful name. Ok moving on.....

Oh easy!! Serena!!! I am very clumsy, always late for everything (which I got to stop doing!), I'm friendly, I do cry a lot because I'm ultra-sensitive like her but I don't know if I consider myself a crybaby?? Questionable, I'm emotional like her (overly sad, happy, Mad, Depressed or in love which I've never been in yet...but I'm waiting for the right guy and when I find him, I'm going to love him like nuts like she loves Darien). I care about people just as much as she does, I'm funny, humorous and silly liker her and let's not forget the most important thing about Serena.....She loves to eat and so do I! Actually I'm studying Culinary! Overall yes I am Serena's Twin!

I like the Manga but LOVE the Anime!! I think the art in the Manga is beautiful!!! but I just love the animation style and also its beauty and I love to listen the actors, music and action sounds in the Anime ,which I can soo do with my imagination (I always hear Terri Hawkes and the rest of the Dic cast when I read the Manga) but it's awesome when it's done for me! Also I watched the Anime first before reading the Manga's so the Anime has such a special place in my heat just like all my other Anime's do

•Favorite Sailor Senshi and why?

Ok....Yeah you guessed it, Sailor Moon/ Serena. When I was first introduced to this character I just felt such a connection. I just couldn't believe that someone made this character who I felt was just the same as me. Her personality, her heart and love is just the same as mine is. I always thought that I was different and not understood but then this girl, Serena showed me that I'm not alone and she was in the same spots as I am/was and everyone feels this way at times and it's ok. If the creator created this personality for Sailor Moon then it means there are people out there like this and in reality I am or you are not alone. This show gave me my best friend. I know she's not real, but in my heart she is real. In all honestly if she was real we would be Best Friends!!! and so would Sora Naegino (Kaleido Star) but I'll save this story for another day. In conclusion I just have to say.....I love you Sailor Moon/ Serena

I'm not much for survey-styled threads but I'll bite this time.

1) I'm American. My dad immigrated here from Cuba and my mom's parents immigrated from Hungary.

2) I've seen all 200 episodes, all 3 movies, and the various specials in Japanese. It was amazing and beautiful. =D I see you're a dub fan; I prefer the Japanese version, though I have nothing against the dub myself (beyond the homophobia), but you're bound to run into some pretty vehement anti-dub people around here.

3) Well, in the "Which SM character are you?" thread, I've gotten both Mamoru and Nephrite. xD In my circle of friends, they say I'm most like Hotaru, but that was when I was a bit younger. One friend compared me to Yaten (or a mix of Taiki and Yaten) and I'm not sure if I agree.

4) The question I'm sure you're most interested in...I'm a guy and I love Sailor Moon for the same reasons you do. Simple, no? Sailor Moon is awesome and I love it. I love the music, the story, the romance, the character designs, the concept of the Sailor Senshi, the mineralogy, the mythology, the space allusions, the idea of transforming to fight evil, past lives, monsters...it's all good in the hood.

5) You forgot the musicals and PGSM! =O I actually really, really like the musicals....but if I had to pick between the manga and the anime, I'd obviously pick the manga, even though I love the anime for what it is, as well.

6) Sailor Saturn, or Sailor Galaxia. Or Pluto, or Venus...I dunno, I love them all.

I loved your response quite much! It' made me laugh in a good way a lot Thank you for not hating on the dub lovers. Yeah some people here I've seen can be quite harsh on the dubbies but I think because I do respect the subbies for loving the sub and do respect the sub it self and love the uncut and uncensored in it is why they don't hopefully bash on my case. I also have given it a chance but I do like other Animes with the sub and love the Japanese voices. It's just with Sailor Moon I can't like it I guess. I've read though the sub and it's F***in awesome!!! I wish Terri Haweks could said those thing hehe. Wow really?? I've never seen him on here and I love Moonkitty!

I have only seen the three movies, half of S, and Stars in japanese, and yes I liked them. They had more humor in them imo then the dub.

Hell if I know. I took three tests on this. First one said I was Ami, second said I was Mamoru, third said I was Haruka...dunno what to make of that.

Aside from the fact I think Ami, Rei, and Makoto are cute, the show has alot of interesting plots, and is alot of humor in it. I do prefere Stars though, because Seiya is a badass, and Mamoru is only in like 2 episodes.

Either or, although I did enjoy the manga better in some ways.

Three way tie between Ami, Rei, and Makoto. I like Ami's intellegence, Rei's personal strength, and Makoto's kindness. If you throw in the ones outside inners and outers, then Seiya would take it, just because she's funny as hell, a general badass, and is very loyal.

You never seen Season one or two in dub or sub? You HAVE too!! I love those Seasons the best!!! You gotta watch. I would tell you to watch the sub. I just love the dub to much to switch now but for those who like the sub keep going!!! and also you should after watching it in sub watch the dub even thought it's uncut and uncensored but I love the Dic voice cast espeically Terri Hawkes!. It's made for kids in the dub but I feel has it's funny/great moment and also has it's faults just like the sub probably does. It's happen with all show pros and cons.

Yes. There are parts of it I like and parts of it I dislike. The most notable thing I dislike is the background music. Yes, there are some stand out tracks that I love, but most of it I dislike. I am an equal opportunity subbie and dubbie.

Hmm, I don't know what senshi I am like. I know for Hetalia I am compared to America, so I suppose I would be most like anime Minako. I do tend to get extremely obsessive about something quickly and then forget about it a week later.

Not a guy. And I am neither a Starlight nor have I been to a cursed pool that will change me when I get hit with cold water. So I suppose it will be forever a mystery why I would like it if I were a guy.

Instead I will say why I got into it. I loved Power Rangers and wanted another show like it to watch. I also really loved the female Zoi of the dub. I always wanted to know what was it like to be Beryl's only high ranking female subordinate. Did she have to be even more ruthless and blood thirsty to keep her position?

No no, I have seen all of the dub (of course Stars wasn't dubbed), but I haven't seen all of the subs. Although, the second Patlabor movie kinda killed dubs for me somewhat.

Great answers! Yeah I've heard people complain about the sub music. Every show weather sub or dubbed has pros and cons and I'm really happy you recognized that. I know the dub has con but most def. has pros to and so does the sub.

Aww that stinks Oh good I was going to say those are great seasons! Hey it's not necessary to watch them all in sub. Truthfully I have only fully watched the dub Season one and two. I know the basic stories of the other series and characters so I am a true fan I just can't stand those voices It's only this Anime!!! UGGGH!! I get mad about it but what can I do I'm a dubbie.

It's not bad, the Patlabor dubs are well done, it's just that one part in the second movie had something added to it that was done differently in the sub, that was totally stupid and uncalled for. I agree with the japanese voices, they are kinda...out there, but sometimes they can add more humor to the situations.

I like both <3 Manga is epic, so is anime. Watched/ read both millions of times. I prefer anime though. More villain development etc.

Sailor Saturn. The depth of her character and the way she acts in both the anime and manga is just stunning. I love her lonely aura and sometimes I wish I could just hug the poor girl. She is a rather tragic character. I also like her way of speech, such as when she explains to Usagi in the manga that without death there would be no rebirth. She's very elegant and the most beautiful senshi in my eyes. I like how her powers are associated with death and rebirth, which is pretty fascinating. Plus, in the manga she has grey-ish eyes, which are similar to my colour <3

I have seen the original Japanese version. All 5 seasons and the 3 movies, although I think I've only seen the "Ami's First Love" special. I did enjoy it, especially Stars! I would like to watch the whole series in Japanese again, but I have a soft spot for the English dub and watch that more often

According to the online quiz things, I'm most like Usagi, but I think that's because I know what answers to pick to get that result. I'm probably more like Makoto, though. I love cooking (although I'm not very good at making up my own recipes) and figure skating even though I'm out of practice. I tend to wear jeans and t-shirts, but I am very feminine otherwise. And my favorite colors are green and pink! I think I can find traits of most of the Senshi in myself. Or at least I'd like to think so.

Anime, mostly because I haven't read all of the Manga yet. I would like to, though. I've read about halfway through and have enjoyed it quite a bit.

Sailor Moon! While she is a crybaby at the beginning, she grows tremendously throughout the series and becomes much stronger. Sure, there are still some tears, but not at every turn and for good reason. She is also a loyal and caring friend, which I would certainly like more of in my life. Plus, I love princesses, so the fact that she is the Moon Princess makes her 100X cooler in my eyes.

I would say I'm the most like Michiru. We're both very passionate about music, art, and the ocean. I'm also a strong swimmer and swim on a regular basis. Personality-wise, we're also similar: like her, I am generally calm, reserved, and difficult to read. After her, I think I'm the most like Hotaru (quiet, "mysterious," prone to illness) and manga!Rei (independent, calm, practical).

If I had answered this question years ago, it would have been anime - but more recently, I've really come to appreciate the manga much more. I prefer Takeuchi's storytelling and characterization. I do think she could have gone into much more depth with many of the characters - particularly the villains - but overall, I still prefer the manga.

Favorite Sailor Senshi and why?

My favorite character has always been Sailor Neptune. Initially, this was simply because she was the soldier with ocean-related powers, and also the artist and musician of the group. However, the more I learned about her, the more I grew to like the character. I like that she is calm and polite, but never a pushover. She's elegant and ladylike, but unafraid of getting her hands dirty. Although she can come across as cold, she is one of the most empathetic and compassionate characters in the series.

Yes, and of coarse it's the only version of Stars I have seen. I grew up watching the dub for the most part, but have seen the entire Japanese version by now. When I was young I purchased the Pioneer VHS subtitled versions of the movies, and I watched bits of S and SuperS in Japanese from the Pioneer/Geneon DVDs I had, then finally went all out and purchased every season in Japanese a few years ago. I love the Japanese version, and it's usually the version I watch mainly because I get to see everything without stupid little cuts here and there, though the dub will always hold a place in my heart as well, especially for nostalgia and some of the music. The voices in the English dub never really bothered me, well the DiC ones atleast. Some of the new voices in the Cloverway dub are ughhh (like Amy and Serena, though she does get better by SuperS, I still could never get over that frog in her throat voice). I actually prefer Rini's Cloverway voice to both the DiC and the Japanese version, I thought it fit her really well.

I don't really know. I just caught it on Cartoon Network one day (over a decade ago) and thought it was pretty funny, and I love the transformation scenes and everything, and got really hooked on the storyline. I still have fond memories of taping every episode and starting my own little collection and everything.

I have only recently read the manga in the last few years, so this is a little biased for me I guess But the anime will always hold a special place in my heart. I do love the manga though for it's epic darkness and being able to skip though all the filler when I don't feel like it. But the anime just has a charm to it that can never be replaced for me.

Depends on what I'm in the mood for. Somedays I like Sailor Moon, and somedays I like Sailor Saturn.

The United States, but I'm a combo of Scottish, Welsh, English, Irish, and French descent.

I've seen some. I LOVE some voices, HATE others (this goes for the English version too), but the story and writing is MUCH better!

Probably Venus. I'm a little clumsy, lazy, occasionally energetic, though I get much better grades than her! I also relate to Usagi with her complaints of school, waking up, overwhelming stress, etc.

There's something about an action-packed animated series about a bunch of ass-kicking girls that I just love. I also relate more to female protagonists. I don't know why. The series also has a LOT of depth. The characters are much more well-rounded and interesting than a show like, say, Ronin Warriors. We also care about the Guardians are their struggle with life and battling the forces of evil. In short, I love Sailor Moon for the same reason I love shows like Powerpuff Girls, Totally Spies, and Tokyo Mew Mew.

Anime. I love comics, but overall, I prefer to watch a series if possible. I do love reading the manga though!

I like Sailor Mars and Sailor Venus. Sailor Mars is red hot. She's tough, she doesn't put of with BS, she can really stand on her own independently. She's also spunky. I like Venus because of her cute chipper personality. She's very likable, and she also learns to be independent in the Sailor V manga series. She's also hilarious!

I'm from the US. More specifically almost 4/5 Irish and 1/5 German.

Yes, I have. I absolutely prefer it to the dub, but I appreciate the dub since it introduced me to Sailor Moon. It made me happy during a turbulent time in my life (my father passed away the year it came out in the US), but in terms of quality, the original Japanese is superior.

3) Which Sailor Senshi or other character are you most like?

Hands down, it's Makoto/Sailor Jupiter. It's scary how much alike me and her are: we both lost a parent, we're both Sagittarians, we love cooking, we love the color green, we wear our hair in a similar style (from age 2 to 16, I wore my hair in a ponytail with ball tie, like what Mako wears), we're boy crazy, we're both tall, and our personalities have similar traits (namely bravery, lack of tact, slightly awkward, honesty and generosity). She spoke to me unlike any other fictional character.

4) If you are a guy, do you like Sailor Moon?

I own a vagina and I don't identify as a guy, so this doesn't apply.

5) Manga or Anime?

In terms of keeping my attention, I like the anime better. I'm a more visual person than a reader, so I like it when the story is played out in front of me. But in terms of storyline quality, the manga, so far, has been better. I just so happen to be reading the manga for the first time with Kodansha releasing it. I am a little more forgiving than a lot of people for the errors because I never had the chance to get the Mixx manga when I was younger. I would rather take it as is, but that's not to say there can't be any improvements.

6) Favorite Sailor Senshi and why?

Sailor Jupiter because she's my clone. xD However, I do have a soft spot for Sailor Mars. I always laugh at her antics and I love her passion and devotion to Sailor Moon. She's also a no BS type of girl and I strive to be like that. I could have also liked Sailor Pluto if there was more character development for her. She had so much unrealized potential, but she was thrown to the wayside.

Sailor Minerva. I've been secretly hoping that sooner or later a sailor senshi would be created with that title. But it'll never happen in the manga or anime.

Both have their positives and negatives. The manga has better storytelling, but the anime has all the character development.

I'm sure the humor aspect of the sub is completely true. All though the dub at it's moments was funny. Most of the time though real lame slang and out there translation. I'm just glad I'm not alone with the whole japanese voice annoying thing.

Oh My God I love your answer here: "but I have a soft spot for the English dub and watch that more often " My heart just warmed up with joy that a subbie fan likes the dub as well and watches it more than the sub! I respect the sub completey but my heart and mind can't get into it. I get mad about it but it's who I am a dubbie but not with every Anime. I compare first both dub and sub and make my choice there. It's just this one I can't go back and forth. Princess Tutu I probably would watch the sub even though I loved the dub but from the clips I've heard it's sounds quite similar to the dub voice and I think that's what makes a great dub! In Dic's case I'm glad to dear God they went the opposite way or the dub could of been bad also with voices! It was bad enough for the cuts, slang, censoring etc. but the voices I feel is what make the Sailor Moon dub shine really bright. It's not the Dic's actors fault for the lines they had to read. I'm sorry for going on this long Anywho, I like to cook like Lita to but it's ridiculous how much Serena and I are alike. You should read the Manga's they're good. I only read the new ones so far but I like them That's what I love the most about Serena is that she's soo wonderful when it comes to friendship and love. Like the answers here. Wow I believe your the first to pick Sailor Neptune for both alikeness and Favorite Sailor Senshi. Yeah I've heard the Manga not going so much into character detail and that stinks! but the story is quite good in the Manga. I still heart the Anime though for I just started reading the Managas and learned about Sailor Moon through the Anime so it holds a special place in my heart. I do love that Sailor Neptune is soo connected to the ocean for it's quite majestic the sea and I wish I was a Mermaid and live in there I'm like Ariel (little mermaid) tehe! I've always caught on that perspective of her that she is the female in the relationship with Saturn! I'm sure everyone knows that though By the way who is your favorite Villain since you wished it was mored detailed in the Manga? I liked the Black Moon family and of course Queen Beryl!

I love the Anime too and I also just started with the Manga so I'm with ya on that. I've seen this answer before from other members saying it depends on the mood they're in. I mean I like all the other character Mina, Lita, Raye and Amy but I love Serena and I just don't think me personally I could jump back and forth. It does interest me for people who do feel that way. Wow your all the way from Finland. That's amazing!! Oh wow that's a unique alikeness. Melvin is funny and really crazy but that why you gotta love him That's a good reason to love this show. The plot, characters, Action etc. It's what makes Moonies such great fans!! Sailor Mercury is cool with some of her powers at times. I learned about the show through the Anime as well. You should read the Manga's. They're good. I just started to and I really like it. Oh come on! How about Sailor Finland??........I thought it was good.
