Now that's just plain stupidity - I just can't imagine that could happen, as I've never experienced it in any best albums & even compilation albums I've bought.

Here is a quote from a review from Amazon Japan about 'no lyric booklet' and about the package itself - Used google 'fail' translate with the help of jisho.org for the meaning of 'lyric booklet' in Japanese XD

Quote:
難点はパッケージ。
ゴールデン☆ベスト・シリーズ共通の仕様なのでしょうか
写真はジャケットのみ、歌詞カードも最低限の記述しかなく
各曲の初出CDの表記もスタッフクレジットもありません。

Oh well, blame V.A.P. for that not Aya :o

It says the lyrics card only contains the minimum amount of info & nothing else, such as the list of CDs on which the songs were 1st released & staff credits. So the lyrics are still there.

BTW, that's actually quite common in best albums & compilation albums. :)

Oh recently Aya has appeared in an episode of S.K.E.T. Dance (episode 18) - The eyecatch had...um...Aya's character (who is a very fictional mom) giving birth and well... she made sounds of it (like literally) and it sounded well... awkward in my opinion...

Inside my head I went...L O L and these reaction: ^_^' , P-: , XD
It was kind of... embarrassing...for a Hisakawa Aya fan myself... ^_^'

Has she given birth in reality? :)

That is one of the biggest mysteries because I've been trying to find out too

I checked every Japanese site about Aya Hisakawa and 'you know what' and I found ZILCH/NOTHING/ZERO information
I have come to a conclusion in personality, that Aya is kind of like my mother really - both are quite capable of using computers but they both don't have a social networking site (i.e. twitter or a blog) - they 'probably' only talk about their social life and family with their friends thus they're both secretive about their social life outside their families and friends.

But I did notice something...after Aya's marriage in 1998 or 1999. I noticed that she has been 'inactive' in anime roles during the year 2000 with her only roles being for movie roles (Cardcaptor Sakura movies and the Ah! My Goddess Movie) - CCS was also finishing during that year, which made me wonder of a theory about her and 'you know what'. Then in that same year (about Feb) she released her Collection album 'Decade', then she attended a few events throughout the year 2000 but none of these events reported Aya having a well...you know what I mean... ^_^'

So pretty much 'that year' theory failed, so I've run out of theories ^_^'

So I'm guessing that 'giving birth' sounding by Aya is probably just...a pro-seiyuu thing XD
Even though she hasn't been in any hentai anime yet XD

^ I think it's good to keep one's private life, well, private, especially for an artist :) (that mightn't be a good thing for his/her fans, tho XD ).

Actually Aya has an 'official fanclub' (It can be found on a link on her profile page but my computer can't read it). Apparently if you're a member of her fanclub you get an 'official magazine' with heaps of pictures of Aya . I've seen some images of front covers of her fanclub magazine, which is interesting...found one interesting one of her, pretty explicit too... :o

I only found out when I found some bloggers blogging about it ^_^'

I'm not using IE, but if you're using it, right-click a menu & then click "select encoding" (or something like that), after that click on the Japanese encoding that can display the page's text correctly. And I think all browsers have that function, since it's a pretty basic feature. :)

It took a while, I was using Google Chrome and couldn't figure out how to encode using Google Chrome until I decided to use IE and it worked. Thanks.

Yup that's definitely the magazine that Japanese Aya fans have mentioned  - saw one blogger photograph the front covers of some of them, particularly the latter ones...found one pretty explicit one, kind of.

Explicit !
I'm a little curious about what you call explicit....not something related to the "pink zone" of this forum!

I'm pretty sure Chrome has that function, too - maybe you can't simply right-click it, but have to pull down the menu of "view" (or something like that) on its menu bar. :)

I'm a little curious about what you call explicit....not something related to the "pink zone" of this forum!

I found this out months ago looking at the same blogging site I found those front cover 'photos' (they're not scans unfortunately and they're very small)

It is partially, but not to the extent of 'hentai' material - it's like the images from her album 'Yakusoku' - so yeah call it 'fanservice' than 'explicit' if you like XD
And it's pretty 'censored' and it's only one image out of a number of images (which are not explicit) in the front cover of the issue (I hope but it's from the front page only). The issue was released back in 09-ish and...oh alright I'll tell you, I've been keeping this very hidden in my head for quite sometime and technically it's very hard to describe it...*takes a deep breath*
It's a picture of Hisakawa Aya in a bath (onsen - I think, not too sure) with her back away from the camera so yeah, its similar to the 'fanservice looking' photos she did for her 'Yakusoku' album /dies from speaking XD

Bad news for those expecting an English release of Valkyria Chronicles 3. :x

ANN wrote:
Hiroshi Seno, Sega's team manager of console sales, said that the company's Valkyria Chronicles 3 : Unrecorded Chronicles game will not be localized for North America and Europe. Seno cited the low English sales of Valkyria Chronicles 2, which did not justify the money spent on localization; the publisher links its decision on whether to localize titles based on sales of previous games in a franchise.

Seno added that Sega will decide on whether to offer Valkyria Chronicles 3 as a downloadable game on the PS Vita system when it meets with Sony. The game shipped in Japan on January 27 and inspired the Senjō no Valkyria 3: Ta ga Tame no Jūsō video anime project.

All the detailed info in the Japanese wiki on her is all gone :(

I guess they didn't have enough sources to reference but, a majority of info about her were found on mostly videos/video interviews of her and its hard to retrieve those kind of sources :|

That often happens on J-Wiki articles about artists - they're pretty anal about it, especially contents (even if they've been proved to be true!) which don't ultimately originated from officially released info. Guess they wanna protect artists' privacy.

I guess so... ^_^'

From one video, I know that she was raised somewhere near the Mizuma Railway (Mizuma Ken) in Kaizuka.
Also when she auditioned for Sailor Moon, 'Usagi' was her first audition - that has proven to be true by her during her panel at Animazement 2005.
Another fact I can remember was that her 'wanting to become a seiyuu' influence came from watching Space Battleship Yamato when she was young - also from Animazement, when someone asked her why did she want to become a voice actress.
Another fact was she got married sometime around late 98 to early 99, considering her last album and the last song of that track was about marriage, possibly her's... :mischief:

^ I'd also bet many of those article trimmings are done by the artists' agencies, if not the artists themselves. l o l Some of the contents so deleted could be the inaccurate ones, of course, but some mightn't be.

I should have mentioned this a loooooong time ago but I forgotten and it's time.

Here is a page from a Precure All Stars book called PrecurePia - it has the signatures and messages of all 21 Precure seiyuu from DX3

Since this is THE Aya Hisakawa Thread, here is her page with message, signature and a questionnaire. For those who don't know she was the voice of Yuri/Cure Moonlight for last year's Precure series Heartcatch Precure!

Image

For a larger image:
http://farm7.static.flickr.com/6227/628 ... c8f0_b.jpg

Something tells me she wrote almost the exact same message (with changes) for this series like when she wrote for Naoko Takeuchi in the Infinity book

Too bad she didn't draw Cure Moonlight like she drew for Ami...I guess Yuri was too complex to draw for her l o l
She can draw herself but she can't draw Yuri... XD

She did mention Sailor Moon in it (tho she misspelled it l o l). I like her handwriting style. :)

Something tells me she wrote almost the exact same message (with changes) for this series like when she wrote for Naoko Takeuchi in the Infinity book

She did mention Sailor Moon in it (tho she misspelled it l o l). I like her handwriting style. :)

I think that was intentional (or not XD)

Agree, her handwriting is cute but I find some of the kanji she writes hard to read.

Here is her signature and message from the Infinity book - Note: I do not own this scan - came from the Oracle

Note she says this in both: 本当に幸せでした <3
But in Sailor Moon she adds すっごくっっ after
In Sailor Moon she writes this similarly: ありがとうございます but in PrecurePia she writes it in past tense ありがとうございました <3 <3

Here is an excerpt of her handwriting from one of the songs in her first album - all the lyrics were handwritten by her - Note: I do not own this scan either.

Her English writing isn't too bad... :)

BTW - Aya is right-handed

I was watching Mawaru Penguindrum yesterday - spoilers ahead relating to her

Quote:
She was complete A-hole in Mawaru Penguindrum (her role as Tabuki's mother though, not her personally) XD...all the parent's (veteran seiyuu) in Mawaru Penguindrum are complete A-holes :twistedevil:

Maybe the veteran VAs are really seen as A-holes by the execs of anime production companies nowadays? :P

Nah, it's a method done by Ikuhara, the guy who directs Sailor Moon and Utena. Adults in his series tend to be A-Holes

He hired his old seiyuu friends from his previous works to voice A-Hole parent's of the main characters in Utena

Dam you Ikuhara
