When you look at the image below, you'll see I wrote up the word into the vertical. I know Kanji is written in the vertical, too, but then I decided to join a bit of Kanji style to the "YAMATO" word.
You don't understand what I was talking about - I wasn't talking about whether the kanji should be written vertically or horizontally at all, as they can be written either way. Now try rereading my post quoted above & see if you can get it now.

BTW, if "Yamato" is written in kana, it'll be represented by three kana, tho.
