Last week I received a commission request from JenJC86 to make her a small game based on episode 44 of the anime. She's allowing me to share it, so I hope you enjoy. : ) Is this worthy enough of having a page on the site, Anton? : 3

A few things, first off. This is not related to Pretty Soldier Sailor Moon: The RPG in any way. The graphics used to make it are the old graphics that are for the most part direct rips of PSSM: Another Story's graphics. I repeat, the graphics in this are the old graphics, not the graphics I am currently using in PSSM: The RPG. I also want to add that the dialogue and everything that happens is pretty much taken from the anime, except for a few things I changed that sounded weird, and the added dialogue during the part where you can explore and talk to NPCs. I also changed a few things to match the manga, such as Serenity's silver hair, and a tidbit that Queen Serenity says, she only said in the manga. One last thing, it's pretty short so don't expect something long. ^^; If anyone has an idea to extend it, I would be happy to extend it or add something.


I tried to make it as dramatic as possible, but its hard since I've already written the Silver Millennium part of my own project, and I didn't want to take anything from that.

I've tested it thoroughly so hopefully there aren't any more bugs, but if you encounter one please let me know and I will correct it. ^^

This was fun for me to do, so hopefully you guys will enjoy playing it as much as I enjoyed making it. It didn't take long, so don't get bent out of shape that I took time away from my own projects. XD

Controls = C / Space is confirm, X is cancel and to bring up the menu during the part where you can explore. The menu is pointless in this, but if you wish to bring it up, X is the button to press. XD Unfortunately RPG Maker XP doesn't have a disable menu feature like I thought (RPG Maker 2003 had one) so I had to leave it. Some joypads work, others probably don't.

Thank you so much for your kind words. ^^ I'm touched you guys enjoyed it that much. I can't stress enough that this game is like an example of me with a muzzle on. XD Although I put in my best effort required, I'm capable of much more. Basically, if you thought this was good, PSSM: The RPG will really blow you away. : P

How am I supposed to work on the art for PSSM:RPG if I keep running into other great new games that will keep my attention...? :P

First The Moon Child, and now this... *dizzy*


lol Really, a great game. I have no doubt that PSSM:RPG is going to become our new favorite Sailor Moon game ever, beating even SMAS.

Whoah. This was absolutely AMAZING. :love: Gets me so much more pumped for PSSM. ^_^ OH. And I fell out of my chair going "HOORAY!" when I heard Emmy Rossum. xDD I thank the person who you made this for, since they kindly allowed us to enjoy this, too. :innocent:

I'll release the map graphics themselves only if I ever get around to completing the PSSM Fan Game Build thing.

Okay, I've been thinking of how to sum up my thoughts for a while, and I've finally got it.

The graphics and mapping are very well done, as well as the music. You've done a very good job of creating an appropriate atmosphere on all counts. This includes the cutscenes you created, which were fantastic. However, I think you included a few too many OGGs. It takes a lot longer for the extractor to recognize these files (which dramatically affected the time it took for me to get to play it) and XP generally has problems with this file type.

The dialogue, for the most part, didn't really wow me. Some of it seemed a bit generic while some I couldn't even imagine coming from the soldier's mouth. Grammar and spelling was good nevertheless.

For the episode chosen, interactivity was decent- there's really only so much that can go on, but expanding on it a bit would have been an excellent idea. For example, maybe battling the 7 Shadow Warriors.

All I have to say, really. I'm quite impressed with your abilities, and I may consider commissioning something in the future.

I appreciate your honesty, Daio. ^^

What dialogue do you mean exactly? Do you mean the NPC soldiers or the things the Sailor Soldiers said during the playable part? If so, I admit that the dialogue wasn't up to my real standards, I had to kind of wing it to avoid using anything from my own game. I'm not really good at making up something radically different from something else I've already done. And I would have loved to have extended it, but I was only paid so much and anything more would have made the price go up a bit.

If you mean anything said in the story scenes, my agreement was I would take dialogue directly from the anime episode. And I agree that some of it wasn't very powerful. (The reason why direct translations are bad.)

Oh, and I'm confused about the OGGs. None of the music tracks were OGGs, were they? Some of the sound effects may have been---I don't remember specifically.

The NPC soldiers, yes, though the Sailor Soldiers as well didn't quite have the best dialogue. Though I can understand why you would be having trouble with it, given the circumstances provided.

Nearly all of the sound effects were OGGs and they took quite a while to extract in comparison to everything else. While most things zipped through quickly, the extractor would hang on the OGGs, which might become a problem in the future.
