I notice there is three archetypical male beauties that different kinds of girls all fall for.

For one there is the SLENDER and VERY PRETTYBOY beauty. Men possessing this kind of beauty are REALLY SO GORGEOUS to the point even heterosexual homophobic men would (secretly) think they're very pretty. At times these beauty archetype may even look androgynous to the point if they weren't wearing traditional masculine attire you would think they're girls! Generally they're frail looking and not athletic-the most athletic this beauty archetype could be is having a Swimmer's Build which is slender but with muscles that are toned and lacking in fat. Someone with a Swimmer's Build would be hard to tell apart from a non-athletic guy until they take their clothes off .Basically this archetypical beauty is stereotyped as feminine,unmanly, and wimpy by men but interestingly many women fall for men with such features. One word to describe men with this type of beauty is the word "Bishonen" 8D, which I don't need to explain here.

Personally this is my IDEAL BEAUTY that I would to attain and perhaps thats why I Saint Seiya and Magical Girl anime/manga. So MANY BISHIE boys!!!!! 8D .

I don't even need to put examples of this here but just for fun, Mamoru Chiba and ESPECIALLY Fisheye represent this kind of beauty.

Then there is the "masculine" handsomeness. Basically these guys are with traditionally masculine features while still attaining (well in the words of girls anyway ) good-looks. They tend to be muscular-not heavy muscles that would make them stand out as bulky weight lifters. However they are muscular enough that you can literally see them even with a considerable amount of clothing. Men with this type of beauty are the ones bullies would generally avoid and they tend to be very athletic and strong. Their bodies are often whats called a "Boxer's Build" or "Soldier's Build" which perfectly describe how their body looks like. No lying here most boxers and soldiers have bodies that suit this type of beauty.In terms of their face, they are handsome-but not prettyboy bishie handsome. Instead they have whats the masculine chiseled facial features such as prominent cheekbones,very defined or prominent jaw line, and a very strong looking chin. Examples of this type of beauty includes Brad Pitt, Carl Von Stauffenberg, and many more that you can probably already think off.

Most girls I've met prefer this type of beauty. No surpise-it is afterall the best of "both worlds" of the three archetypical male beauty .

Then there is what is called "weightlifting beauty". This type of beauty almost never pays attention to the face. Sure every once in a while you can find someone with this architypical beauty that actually manages to have a "handsome face". But the vast majority of men with weightlifting beauty tend to be average looking or even plain ugly. Instead this type of beauty relies on such a bulky body with such large muscles that they can be downright intimidating. Even with lots of clothing on, these guys have such huge muscles they are easy to see with the eyes.Men with such a build tend to be incredibly strong-but at a cost. For all the big muscles in their body, they tend to be very slow and can cause pain with very simple weak nonviolent movements such as a handshake. Also they tend to move very slow because of such muscles and often the force of their movements such as simple steps can be felt.Arnold Schwarzenegger(who IMO in his youth actually wasn't that badlooking and above average) as well as now-dead weightlifter Jack Lalane exemplify this architypical beauty.

Despite how popular medium aimed at young men such as action movies, video games,comics, and (especially) Shonen portray the ideal man as looking with Weightlifter beauty, very few women prefer this. Most women I met stated they're turned off by such large and bulky muscles. Women who prefer these type of men tend to be very involved in hardcore high level sports and weightlifting anyway, which makes sense. I can't see why anyone except those heavily involved in sports would prefer this type of beauty.

I don't really look at men with that eye, but since my diminished sexual attraction to the male sex still does exist, I can answer.

All the men I find attracted to are quite slender. They're not exactly the bishie-type, but slender. All my crushes also involve something else than the body, the body is just a plus, which I think is important to say. I never crushed to a single one of those guys just by the looks. They're all celebrities, tho, so I either was a fan of their character in some film and ended up watching their interviews to get to know the actor behind the role, and I crushed. They're all a bit rough type with unshaved beards and stuff, like Robert Downey Jr. (and Jude Law, tough he doesn't quite fit the description. )

I'm attracted to nerdy guys. I don't like men who are too slender; hell, being a bit overweight is even preferable for me. I wouldn't mind a muscle-y guy, but usually nerdy guys don't fit that physical mould. =P The last guy I dated was very tall, and he wasn't what I would call overweight, but he was definitely a pretty big guy.

I feel like being really slender and the "bishounen" type you're talking about just aren't masculine enough for me.

I like gorgeous men, but I also love muscles. Not over the top muscular or anything like a huge bodybuilder, but just enough that they are clearly defined. Chiseled features are very attractive to me.
