The first two have a special place in my heart. I frankly don't know what to make of Underground.

I enjoy AOSTH and it's my favorite one. Yeah, it's cheesy and a weird rehash of Looney Tunes sketches, but I always thought it was fun and it had the best version of Dr. Robtonik IMHO.

Never saw SU, so I cannot say anything about it.

I always thought SatAM had the best version of Robotnik.
He was more dictatorial, had a no-nonsense attitude, and just plain vicious. P-:

I watch all of them, my favorite is Sonic the Hedgehog (I also have the collection on DVD) I'm glad i'm subscribed to the Archie's comic book.

Sonic Underground, I didn't really like it, but hope they ended it properly instead of being cancelled. The Spanish title made me laugh, it was translated to "sonic and it's band" or "sonic and it's gang" forgot which one.

The Adventure series was for me random fun :)

I never saw SatAM as a kid, but I did see the other two. Underground is on Netflix, during the Summer I may have to revisit the series.

SatAM & AOSTH are the only ones I find worth watching. Seen the others, & they suck. Big ones.

Classic Sonic is the only Sonic. I must just be getting old.

To me Jallel White will be the one & only TRUE voice of Sonic, lol. But yeah I got into sonic because of the U.S. Toons & comic, still love Archie's Sonic Comic and read it religiously every month.

I think its sad all the old U.S. sonic stuff is starting to get hate, just cause the newer Sonic fans are all like, DER SEGASONIC IZ ALL THAT COUNTS. Sad they forget the fact that the Archie/SATAM & the British FLEETWAY cannons pre-date the modern SEGA-Sonic Cannon, and the original games had very little cannon to em.

But even sadder all the Sonic fanbase can't get along. Sonic is a great character, and like any other great cartoon animal, lol. He can play any role the want, they all count. Because....SONIC! lol.

Yup, and they're also marketing it as an "all new" series, like what Nicktoons is doing with Dragon Ball GT. :|

^ It's got SatAM Robotnik on the cover instead of AoStH Robotnik. False advertising is false advertising.

Shout! Factory did proper DVD sets of all three DiC Sonic series, so I wouldn't worry about the NCircle DVDs. ^_^'

Funny how the site lists DiC as the studio seeing as they're dead & NCircle's the company releasing these sets.

I loved SU, AOSTH and SatAM. I actually made the effort to get up at 6am to watch it(for a lot of the 90s cartoons really and this is coming from someone who will never be a morning person). I never could get into Underground, but I don't hate it either.

I was extremely disappointed with Sonic X. It was the first series to be based on the current games and they messed it up by trying to shove a whiny little rich kid with so-called "problems" into our face instead of focusing on Sonic and having that same kid steal important roles from other characters for no reason. It messed up Amy and Shadow's personalities instead of taking making it an interesting twist like they were trying to do. I also deeply resent how this show caused the previous game VAs(who I felt fit the characters way better except for Knuckles and Shadow) to get fired for no reason. At least this shows people that being made in Japan doesn't automatically means it's better.

And now I have the AOSTH theme song stuck in my head. Am I the only one who feels that 90s cartoons tend to have catchy theme songs?

It's for AoStH, but uses SatAM artwork. These companies never learn. :o

Gosh I love sonic.

The Adventures of Sonic the Hedgehog:
This one I had the most experience with growing up. I loved it. It was mostly comedy, but it was still an adventure.

SatAM:
This one is probably my favorite. The animation seemed more serious, and it was a lot darker. I know thats why a lot of people don't enjoy it but it was nice to see a serious and ongoing look in to the Sonic universe. While the plot deviated from the video games, it seemed to be just as serious as them, if not moreso. Towards the end it seemed the characters were having real arcs. I did not enjoy most of the new characters even when i re-watched it as an adult. I am more character oriented now though so maybe I will give it another try.

Sonic Underground:
Never saw it as a kid. Never knew it existed til middle school. I wanted to see this show so unbelievably badly but it was before torrents were very well known, so I didn't get to see it until two years a go. Ultimately I think the premise was interesting, manic and sonia were very great characters (as compared to the SatAM crew) but the episodes themselves fell very short. I did not bother watching it in its entirety like I did with SatAM. I would like to go back and watch the knuckles based episodes though.

So yeah, thats my feelings on the american cartoons I guess. I had high hopes for Sonic X, but i found it unbelievably boring. The first 26 episodes were just... ugh. The Sonic adventure and sonic adventure 2 arcs were not bad, but I felt they overplayed comedy in them, in ways that were not suited to sonic.

so yeah... someone should probably make one really solid show based on the games. I know that fanfilm was attempting that, but it felt so void of real plot.

Sonic Underground never got an ending, since it was canned about 20 episodes short of the original planned run. It was SUPPOSED to have an ending in March in that issue of Sonic Universe, but they decided to scrap it and go with some stupid ass Mecha Sonic plot, because "they don't think they'd do it justice"...

Would be nice to give that series an ENDING!
