You're not objective because you're a moth here. :| You're Jay's ☹. Even if this thing turned up upside down on your screen one day, you'd be ecstatic about this. I can already see you say: "oh I have to twist and turn my neck 180 degrees to view the site and type upside down, but I lllllllove it this way, because I dislike it the other way". Your job, by its very parasitic essence, is to defy my insightful critique of the way this website operates. So your opinion is consequently, using Joe cracker's parlance, "hereby pronounced invalid."

Well, I've already said I "can't really comment about that."

I use an iPhone (an oldie one at that), and it works fine on it. Sorry kitty but I'm with Rika on this one (and on the topic of automatic mobile versions, and the even worse "forum app" pushers. YUCK!)

Maybe you could try installing a real OS instead of what apple pollutes your disk with?

Yeah, it's pretty annoying to see them popping up on the screen & requiring me to respond before I can access the site. :x

Okay, to fill my on-topic quota: Fóthi Ákos: Bevezetés a programozásba and Járai Antal: Bevezetés a matematikába (informaitkai alkalmazásokkal).

Both books are extremely nerdy, about Maths (discrete maths to be exact) and Programming (a relational model of it).

yay for exam period.

I'm reading "Doll Grave Digger" by Petra Hammesfahr . Pretty interesting book, a lot of details but I think many wouldn't like it...
Book is something both detective and novel(?). Its about a boy who has psyhical problem and yeah... better read - dont want to spoil :D
Also I would advise to read Rudolph Blaumanis (Rūdolfs Blaumanis) novels - they are THE best thing. Raudupiete and In the Shadow of Death are most known.

Reading A-Force: WarZones for a newsletter. Keeping myself sane so I don't go nuts tweeting Bowden from Kobo.

Probably will reread Inferno since said movie of it will come out this year.

This is the second time I've read it, in a way I'm prepping for the new one

Currently I'm reading The Freedom Writers Diary and a collection of short stories about the Gulag by a Russian author (В. Шаламов). Recently I finally finished the Flynn books and A Quiet Life by Kenzaburo Oe. :)

It's interesting that feminist elements are also featured in games, which've become pretty influential media these days. :)

I should crack open my Kobo. I just finish reading the novelization of Equestria Girls. Also put all my iBooks on the older iPad.

Still interested in the YA novels based on Assassin's Creed.

Two very disappointing books I read lately:

1) "Private" by Denver Nicks -- double biography of Manning and Assange up to Manning's arrest and Assange's getting stuck in the Ecuadorian consulate in GB. I actually expected these two would have interesting backstories, but they don't, not in this book. If you want to know interesting details about them, better read their respective Wikipedia articles. The author also presents a rather flawed interpretation of the Manning-Lamo chat logs, completely fails to ascertain Lamo's motivations, and also bashes all of the revealed cables as irrelevant. Perhaps he was hired by the US government to write it because the book reveals nothing new, analyzes nothing, and all it does is it persistently downplays the leakage. Odd.

2) "One of Us" by Asne Seierstad -- the story of Breivik and his victims. Breivik is a creepy child, reportedly molesting his mother as early as at the age of 3, completely emotionless, parented by highly neurotic and dysfunctional people, etc., but all of this is only briefly mentioned and then the author starts ☹ing about how Breivik liked tagging as a teen, just like his friends, and then he didn't like it anymore when he changed schools and developed other interests. The book is also a rather failed attempt at doing the victims justice within the framework of a true crime story. Breivik's bio is interspersed with chapters narrating the lives of his victims all of whom were teenagers and didn't really have interesting stories, like it or not. So the author travels in time and space to tell stories of several generations back that began somewhere in the middle east, introducing tens of names and places in each such chapter, making things unbearably boring. I can't help but notice the author's obsession with birthing, because he describes every single birth that took place (over 70!) and reports on what anyone present at the birth thought of it.

Currently reading a postmodernist novel about homelessness (among other things) by a Russian author (Иличевский А.В. <<Матисс>>)

Maybe it was his mother who molested him? How can you rape anybody when you are 3 years old? :oh:

Well, it's to say he was so excessively needy when in bed with his mom while completely emotionless otherwise, it was doubly creepy. It's also to say that his mom was one crazy ☹ for characterizing toddler's neediness as "forcing himself on her", she actually resented him for it and felt violated. The social workers concluded both need therapy but administered none until many years later.

Inkspell, but I didn't read Inkheart before it. I still understand the whole story though.

The Hobbit - Second time, but because I felt like watching the original Dragon Ball series I decided to read a good adventure.

I'm also about to start Shockaholic it's the other self written documentary by Carrie Fishier. (she plays Leia for those who didn't know that)

I normally don't read two things at once but the later is rented and i need to get it done and returned XD

The Hobbit, like Lunatastic (only this is my first time; I've never read a Tolkien book before) and Flaubert's Madame Bovary.

Bovary? Don't worry, I know the plot. It was actually homework for Lit class when I was in high school, but there was no time for most students to read all the books in the curriculum, so we just learned the notes for this one.

I'm a little disappointed that the critical consensus seems to be that no remarkable movie adaptation of the book has been made as of yet.

OMG, I hated Moby Dick. Even worse than The Last of the Mohicans, The Red Badge of Courage and Great Gatsby. I hate American literature. No offence to anyone.

Currently reading Gorky (Старуха Изергиль) and Nabokov (Ada, or Ardor) in Russian.
