BREAKING NEWS!!! SAILOR MOON WILL BE RE-AIRED IN ITALY!!!!

I can't still believe it, Sailor Moon is going to be aired again on the Mediaset Channel Hiro (a brand new channel)!!!!

In a recent interview on the italian site Anime Fun (http://animefun.forumcommunity.net/?t=29955204), Fabrizio Margaria (the channel director) said that Sailor Moon is going to be aired again!!!!!

The interview will be released next week!

Some words from him:

"Dopo lungo lavoro di convincimento, hanno sbloccato i diritti quindi confermo che dal 2010 l’intera serie sarà di nuovo in onda."

"After a long work, the rights was released, I can confirm it, the series will be aired again next year"

The rights was released!!!!!!!!!!!!!! The italian fandom is crazy!

Italians are so lucky, I've seen the italian version before on youtube, the theme music is awesome, especially R & S themes.

This is awesome! I was upset when I last went to visit my family in Italy, none of my younger cousins knew Sailor Moon. Now they can watch the series!

I love the Sailor Moon Italian dub, despite some of the censoring. Is Sailor Moon airing anywhere else in the world?

Hope more countries will get their chance to watch Sailor Moon back on TV. Newer generations need to see true legends in action. :keke:

I'll keep you guys updated, and, no, I don't think SM is currently airing anywhere else in the world.

The most important thing is that the rights has been released, so we can expect more official stuff such as dvds, manga reprint, toys, etc!!!

Yeah, even I'll accept the DiC/Cloverway dub at this rate. I just want quality anime put back on TV, and Sailor Moon is the top of the heap in that department for me.

For now, I'm just happy for every Italian Moonie right now. Pure jubilation! :love:

Like Toy said, having SM back on TV in general, is a really good sign of things to come.

Okay, if they were able to get the rights released to them then I believe that Funimation has an even better chance to get the Re-dubbing rights here in the US!

When you say the rights were released, does that means that they received a license for the show? Released can sometimes mean something different in English; as in, they expired...

Yes, seems like they received the license to broadcast it, that's what the channel director said, the full interview is still not available. Seems like the rights are unlocked now.

It's not that bad. It's not like in the CWI dub, where we needed to be reminded every 10 minutes Uranus and Neptune were cousins. P-:

In a way, the Italian dub is comparable to the SuperS dub. Pretty faithful, just with name changes, and some minor censoring. Of course, the voices in the Italian dub are alot better. P-:
